Background: Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most common malignancy worldwide.1 It usually found in older populations, particularly those exposed to ultraviolet radiation. almost always curable when detected and treated early. Surgery remains cornerstone of BCC treatment, but standard excision results defects requiring reconstruction. A V-Y flap a popular option for smaller due its advantages. Case: 33-year-old male with blackened lesion on left vermillion border upper lip diameter 2 cm three months, suspected basal carcinoma. The patient underwent wide excision, defect was reconstructed using flap. Conclusion: Wide local treatment choice ensure clear margins, preventing further recurrence distant metastasis. advancement preferable reconstruction small medium size facial less scarring better aesthetic results.
Flap dipilih wajah ukuran kecil hingga sedang bekas luka estetika baik.

Keloids are most commonly located in the ears (44.4%), followed by the thorax (33.3%), and shoulders (7.4%) [1]. Keloids, along with hypertrophic scars, are caused by an aberration in the normal wound healing process and inflict great discomfort on the patient [2]. Abnormal scars may cause pain or pruritus, disturb the range of motion, diminish sensation, or cause aesthetic deformities that may...

A 77-year-old woman presented with a 1-year history of a right medial canthal tumor, which was histopathologically diagnosed as a basal cell carcinoma. After removal of the tumor with a 4-mm safety margin, the defect occupied the areas superior and inferior to the medial canthal tendon. We first reconstructed the lower part of the defect using a nasolabial V-Y advancement flap to make an ellipt...
Upper Lip Basal Cell Carcinoma Reconstruction Based on Anatomical Characteristics Using Skin-Mucosa Double Opposing V-Y Advancement Flap
BACKGROUND Upper lip defects less than one-fourth of total upper lip length are typically closed directly, but larger defects require reconstruction. Established techniques, such as the Abbe/Estlander flap, often require multiple procedures. This report discusses a single-step method, involving a skin-mucosa double opposing V-Y advancement flap, which was utilized to reconstruct the upper lip a...
